The 50MM Project

CALL FOR SUBJECTS ON HOLD

The 50mm Project is a collaboration between BRIAN KNAPP Photography and volunteer subjects in various locales throughout the Central and Northern Virginia area. Portrait sessions last 30-45 minutes, and consist of closeup photos from the neck up (See the reference image below).

There is no charge to be part of this project. There is also no compensation to you beyond us providing you with 3-5 images to use as you please. This is a TFP (Trade For Print) arrangement. The photos we take of you will be used on selected social media platforms, and will be clearly identified as part of The 50mm Project.

If you are interested in taking part in this project as a subject, please fill out the form. We will get back to you with more details and a few simple questions. Please realize we will be asking for a headshot (or selfie!) as part of the application process.

The selection process is based on us achieving a sufficient variety in the persons we photograph. If you are not selected, please do not take it personally as it’s more than likely the case that we’ve already captured someone who looks just like you :)

Response has been so overwhelming that we’ve had to place our call for subjects on hold for now. While we are no longer accepting applications for our Lynchburg session in July, please feel free to fill out the form below if you are interested in being contacted once we’ve determined when our next session in Lynchburg will be. Thank you again for your interest!
